Multan Sultans registered their first victory of this season of PSL after losing the first 2 matches. They defeated Lahore Qalandars by 7 wickets, who had won their first 2 matches this year till now. Multan captain Mohammad Rizwan won the toss and invited the Lahore team to bat first.

Lahore posted a modest total of 157/6 in 20 overs with a fine half-century from Mohammad Hafeez. The veteran batsman hit 60 runs off 35 balls with the help of 3 fours and 5 sixes. Shahnawaz Dhani and Carlos Brathwaite took 2 wickets each for the Multan Sultans team.

While chasing this target, captain Mohammad Rizwan continued his terrific form and played a 49-ball 76 run innings. He hit 12 fours in his wonderful knock.
