PSL 2021 Schedule: PSL Schedule PDF, Dates, Match Timings, Venues, and Teams

In the last few years, Pakistan Super League – PSL has become one of the most-watched tournaments across the globe. The quality of cricket played in the tournament has been quite high and fans from across the world have loved them. The PSL is all set for another thrilling season and as fans, all we can hope is high-quality cricket. 

The opening match of the tournament will be played on February 20 between the defending champions Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators. The match will be played at the National Stadium in Karachi, one of the two venues selected for this tournament. The other venue for the tournament is the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore. 

Due to the COVID restrictions, only these two venues have been selected. 20 matches will be played in Karachi while the rest 14 will be played in Lahore. As the tournament will start in Karachi and all the first 20 matches will be played there before the teams shift bases to Lahore to play the business end of the league. 

PSL 2021 final to be played at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore

Eight double-headers will be played in the tournament this time. With Karachi and Quetta playing the opening game on the 20th, the next day will see Lahore Qalandars and Peshawar Zalmi playing the afternoon match. In the evening, Islamabad United and Multan Sultans will go head to head as the two teams play their respective season openers. 

Between February 20 and March 7, the league’s first half will be played in Karachi. The Lahore leg will be played between March 10 and 22. The playoffs will be played between March 18 and 22. When the final is played in Lahore on 22nd, it will be only the second time when the summit clash will be played at the Gaddafi Stadium. The last time when the renowned stadium hosted a PSL final was back during the 2017 edition. 

The only contest which will have a home and away situation will be the two matches between Lahore and Karachi. The first match will be played on 28th February in Karachi while the second clash will be played on March 14 in Lahore. There will be certain energy around these two matches surely as the two teams have had several clashes in domestic cricket before and were also the finalists of the previous season.
