The remainder of the IPL 2021 is all set to commence from September 19 in the UAE. The cricketing fraternity and the on-lookers are all pumped to watch the action unfold.  However, ahead of the tournament, the experts and former cricketers have been putting forward various predictions on the team balance and results. The former New Zealand cricketer-turned commentator, Scott Styris is the latest to join the list.

Scott Styris has brought up another edition of the power rankings of the IPL franchises. This is not the first time that Styris has come up with something like this. He had previously also predicted the rankings of the IPL teams. He took it to his official Twitter account to reveal his rankings. As expected, the most successful team of the tournament, Mumbai Indians occupied the top spot in Styris’ rankings.

Following MI are the IPL 2020 runners up Delhi Capitals who have had a splendid run in the tournament so far. The MS Dhoni-led side is ranked as the third team on his list. After a disappointing performance in the IPL 2020, CSK made an impressive comeback this year as the team is placed in the second position on the points table.

The list then continued in the following order- RCB, Punjab Kings, SRH, KKR, and RR. With Rajasthan Royals finding the last spot, the franchise chimed in to reply to the former New Zealand cricketer.

Rajasthan Royals haven’t had a very pleasant run in the Indian leg of the IPL. The team is currently placed in the fifth position of the points table, having won three matches from the seven that they have played. The team also misses on the key names in the UAE leg with Archer, Buttler, and Stokes not available for the remainder of the tournament.

Thus, this might have led to Styris placing the team at the bottom of the list. After Styris Tweeted the rankings, the Rajasthan Royals franchise came forward to reply him. They replied with a picture that is from the movie Love Aaj Kal wherein it features the dialogue by actress Sara Ali Khan. “Tum mujhe tang karne lage ho” read the text on the image. This interesting reply fetched in a lot of replies from Twitter users.

With the second half of the IPL all set to resume, RR will be keen to change their fortunes this time around. With some intriguing new signings, the team will be all raring to make an impact in the tournament.
