Young Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan is certainly taking some seriously giant strides in world cricket. The young leggie had recently stormed to the top of the ICC ODI Bowlers rankings. And now, when the ICC T20I Bowlers rankings are out, Rashid has made a giant leap yet again. Rashid Khan has surged to the top of the rankings as per the recent release update of the ICC.

Rashid Khan has bagged the top sport with 759 rating points to his name. Next in line is New Zealand spinner Ish Sodhi, who has managed to secure 700 rating points. Interestingly, the only fast bowler who has managed to feature in the top five of the latest release is India’s Jasprit Bumrah. It is worth noting that Bumrah has slipped from his previous position to be at number five in the list.

In the recently concluded T20I series against South Africa, Bumrah could only take a solitary wicket. His bowling partner, Bhuvneshwar Kumar, who finished as the leading wicket taker in the same series, has claimed the 12th spot in the rankings.

Meanwhile, among the batsmen, New Zealand opener Colin Munro has made it to the top spot with 805 ratings to his name. Australian batsman Glenn Maxwell, who recently hit a T20I ton in the Trans-Tasman series, has gained 5 places up to make it to the second spot. Pakistani batsman Babar Azam takes the third spot, while Aaron Finch bags the fourth place. Indian skipper, Virat Kohli, who had a quiet outing in South Africa in T20Is, has slipped to the number 6th spot in the rankings.

Among the all-rounders, Glenn Maxwell dethroned Shakib Al Hasan to take the top spot. Shakib has slipped to the second spot now. Afghanistan all-rounder Mohammad Nabi has claimed the third spot in the list. The next two spots are bagged by Windies all-rounder Marlon Samuels, and South African all-rounder JP Duminy.

In the team rankings, Pakistan continues to be at the top spot with 126 points to their name. Australia also have 126 points but fall short by the decimal places. Team India, after a brilliant 2-1 win over South Africa, have moved to the third spot with 122 points. The Proteas on the other hand, have slipped to the number 7 spot in the latest rankings.
