England- 9.5/10

England had a bit of a stutter to start the year. The West Indies made them sweat a tad in the five-match series. In the end, the Brits avoided a defeat, levelling the series 2-2. From there on, the Three Lions won seven matches in succession. It was Sarfaraz Ahmed’s Pakistan, who broke their losing streak and it came in the World Cup.
The Brits went down by 18 runs at the Trent Bridge in Nottingham. But England beat Bangladesh, Afghanistan and West Indies to get back momentum. They lost to Sri Lanka and Australia, but the defeats didn’t stop them from qualifying for the semis.
Then, Eoin Morgan and Co beat the Aussies to make the Final. After some jaw-dropping moments, the Brits won the championship for the maiden time. All in all, England won 14 out of 22 ODIs in 2019, losing only five.
