While some lashed out at the former KXIP captain, a few others came out in his support. Nevertheless, this incident continues to remain a significant event in Ashwin’s career. On the occasion of Christmas, one fan took it to social media to troll Ashwin. He posted a picture of a box with cricket balls. The funny thing about this was that on each of these balls, ‘Mankad’ was written. He captioned: “My gift to Ashwin for Christmas.”

The social media handle of the Rajasthan Royals decided to add to the fun by sharing the picture. They replied that no points for guessing who will add this to their cart for IPL 2020. “No points for guessing who is adding this to their cart for #IPL2020,” Rajasthan Royals mentioned in the reply.

Ravichandran Ashwin comes up with a brilliant reply

Ravichandran Ashwin has seen things of these sorts for a long while now. Thus, the off-spinner has managed to shield himself from all criticism related to this incident. Moreover, he sees the funnier side of things and even comes up with great replies and itt wasn’t any different this time.

“Might well be a good collection for the non-strikers who meander along. Good banter nevertheless. Wish you all a happy 2020,” he wrote.
