Ravichandran Ashwin responds after Rajasthan Royals take a 'Mankad' jibe at him

When Ravichandran Ashwin ‘mankaded’ Jos Buttler in a game against the Rajasthan Royals (RR) during IPL 2019, it around several mixed reactions. While some lashed out at the former KXIP captain, a few others came out in his support. Nevertheless, this incident continues to remain a significant event in Ashwin’s career. On the occasion of Christmas, one fan took it to social media to troll Ashwin. He posted a picture of a box with cricket balls. The funny thing about this was that on each of these balls, ‘Mankad’ was written. He captioned: “My gift to Ashwin for Christmas.”

Ravichandran Ashwin comes up with a brilliant reply

Ravichandran Ashwin has seen things of these sorts for a long while now. Thus, the off-spinner has managed to shield himself from all criticism related to this incident. Moreover, he sees the funnier side of things and even comes up with great replies and itt wasn’t any different this time.

Ravichandran Ashwin will be plying his trade for the Delhi Capitals (DC) in the upcoming season of the IPL. He was with the Punjab franchise earlier but they decided to trade him. Ashwin is expected to fulfil a huge role for the Capitals in the upcoming season of the league.

Moreover, given that he is an Indian player, it helps maintain the balance of the side. Some good performances in the tournament could even keep him in the contention for T20 World Cup 2020 in Australia.
