Sreesanth, the cricketer turned politician, landed himself in trouble and became a subject for trolls after he mistakenly referred his state Kerala as a city.

The former cricketer and current BJP candidate in Kerala’s assembly elections, Sreesanth posted this tweet campaigning for a seat in Thiruvananthapuram (TVM). Sreesanth is quite regular on social media and regularly updates his feeds for his 1.04 million followers.

He was not spared for his silly mistake and was taken apart by his own followers and other random Twitter users. Jokes and jabs on Sreesanth’s IQ soon flooded the micro-blogging site. Some of the users even raised questions about the BJP’s political agenda in the state.

Sreesanth created more fuss about the issue after he banned one user from following him after he pointed out the mistake in the tweet. The user also refused to drop his sarcasm weapon and tweeted back saying that he lost one potential voter because of this act.

It has been only a few weeks since Sreesanth’s announced his entry into the new phase of life. He declared his candidature for a seat in Thiruvananthapuram (TVM). Sreesanth said that this is a great opportunity to start fresh and give it back to the people.

He says that they’ve been really supporting to him during tough times. His decision to fight elections created lot of buzz on the social media with people coming up with various hilarious memes to take welcome him in the field of politics.
