Sara Tendulkar reveals her favorite scene from her father’s biopic

More than the current team India players, who are currently in London for the Champions Trophy, it is veteran Sachin Tendulkar who is grabbing all headlines for his just-released biopic “Sachin: A Billion Dreams”. The movie has received great response from fans and is doing exceptionally well at the box-office.

Sachin’s daughter Sara Tendulkar, while growing up, was unable to fathom the stardom of her father, as revealed by her recently. She was unable to know why her father was and is considered a God-like figure in the country.

“I never really understood the magnitude of my dad’s personality”

“Growing up I never really understood the magnitude of the personality that is Sachin Tedulkar.. For me, he was always my father and it was just simple. After watching the movie, it has made me truly understand what everyone else thinks of him.”

Sara also said that she enjoyed watching the movie which takes the fans through the journey of the cricket legend. A grand premiere of the biographical drama was held in Mumbai on Wednesday evening and the entire Indian team went to attend it. The movie has received mixed reviews. While some argue it had no less-known facts about Tendulkar’s life, there are others who have already watched the movie more than once since its release which was just yesterday.

Sara’s favorite scene – the romance between her parents

The romance between Sachin Tendulkar and his wife, Anjali, which is also depicted in his biopic was the favourite part of the film for their daughter Sara.

“My favourite part of the movie is where they speak about my parents meeting and the whole romance which I think is cute. Also, their wedding scene is really nice,” she said. Tendulkar’s wife Anjali is 6 years older than him and that is what makes their love story even cuter.

The film is directed by Emmy-nominated James Erskine and the music has been given by AR Rahman.
