The Indian team scripted a historic win in the fourth and final Test at the Gabba, which sealed the Border Gavaskar Trophy 2020-21 for them. With this win, the Indian team won the series 2-1. This was India’s second successive series win in Australia, something has been done only by South Africa in this century. On the last day of the series, it was a spirited batting display by the Indians which helped them to get a win that would be remembered.

But for the cricket fans, it wasn’t the end of quality cricket. India will be taking on England at home in a few weeks’ time. Former England captain Kevin Pietersen didn’t leave this opportunity to remind the Indians about the challenge which they will be soon facing against a tough England side. However, the former captain made sure that he puts this message in a language that all the Indians would understand.

The real team will be coming to your home: Kevin Pietersen

Pietersen in his tweet, wrote in Hindi, in which he was trying to remind the Indian players that they shouldn’t be celebrating a lot as the real challenge is yet to come to them. He wrote, “India – yeh aitihaasik jeet ka jashn manaye kyuki yeh sabhi baadhao ke khilaap hasil hui hai LEKIN , ASLI TEAM toh kuch hafto baad a rahi hai jisse aapko harana hoga apne ghar mein . Satark rahe , 2 saptaah mein bahut adhik jashn manaane se saavadhaan rahen.”

The tweet in translation in English quite literally means, “India – celebrate this victory because it has come while you were fighting against all the difficulties. However, the real team (referring to England) will be coming to your home in a few weeks, whom you have to defeat. Beware, make sure you don’t celebrate this victory too much for the next two weeks.”

India and England series to start on February 5

Pietersen has been quite active on social media when it comes to cricket and he has a lot of Indian fans. The series which he was referring to will start on February 5 at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The venue will also host the second Test from February 13 to February 17. The third and fourth Tests of the series will be played at the new Sardar Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad.

The third Test will be a day-night one. It will also be the first match at the stadium after it was inaugurated after reconstruction resulted in it becoming the largest Cricket Stadium in the World surpassing the Melbourne Cricket Ground
