Shah Rukh Khan congratulates Gautam Gambhir on his comeback

Veteran opener Gautam Gambhir ’s comeback has created a lot of buzz among fans. The left-hander was drafted into the squad as an immediate replacement for the injured KL Rahul who was ruled of the remainder of the Test series due to a hamstring problem in his right leg.

The excitement among his supporters was palpable it was revealed that the BCCI has called Gambhir for a fitness test to fill the place of Rahul. Gambhir, who was in scorching form in the domestic circuit, successfully passed the test and added to the squad for the 2nd test which begins on September, 30th at Eden gardens, Kolkata.

There was a happy reaction to this news as fans wished him best of luck for his second innings which begins after a hiatus of 2 years. Things became more special when Kolkata Knight Riders owner, Shah Rukh Khan, personally tweeted him luck for the series and congratulated him on the comeback. Gambhir is one of the top run-getters for the Kolkata franchise and has also successfully led KKR to two IPL championships.

So, it was natural for Shah Rukh Khan to be delighted to see his skipper return to the national team. Gambhir also expressed his gratitude and also sent love for his kids including AbRam who accompanies SRK during homes game to cheer for their team.

Along with Gambhir, Yuvraj Singh also passed the fitness test and looks in line for an ODI comeback. Fast bowlers Barinder Sran and Jaspreet Bumrah also appeared for the fitness test and have cleared it without any hassle. Both are most likely to play with together in the upcoming ODI series against New Zealand.
