The Indian cricket team has a hectic schedule in place for the next two and a half months. The Men in Blue embarked on their journey of the United Kingdom yesterday. Prior to their departure, Virat Kohli, the skipper of the side, and Ravi Shastri, the head coach, hosted a press conference where they threw light on their moto and strategy to come out trumps in their endeavour.

Kohli also urged for the supporters to move on from the 2014 debacle and shower their support on the team. Kohli and Co will start their campaign with a two-match T20I series versus Ireland at The Village in Dublin, which begins from June 27. Thereafter, the Blue Army will travel to England, where they are programmed to play three T20Is and as many ODIs from July 3 onwards.

Indians pumped up for challenges

The five-match Test series gets underway on August 1 and will continue till the mid of September. Last time around, MS Dhoni was the leader of the team and he couldn’t guide his team to glory in the five-day format despite helping India to a lead early in the series. However, they came back and registered three resounding victories in the ODIs to win the five-match series.

Yesterday, Kohli and his boys boarded the flight and looked all pumped up to face the stern challenges that are awaiting them. The players looked in a playful mode and they took to their social media accounts to post pictures. Recently, Shikhar Dhawan also uploaded a video where he sang a song and pointed the camera, first towards Dhoni and then towards his skipper.

The batsman also gave two new names of them when he referred to Dhoni as ‘Ram’ and Virat as ‘Lakhan’. He posted the same on Instagram and wrote, “Mere do anmol ratan @mahi7781 @virat.kohli .  ek raam toh dooja lakhan. Bak at its best like any other day, sorry for bad singing thgh”
