Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) conducted their annual event RCB Unbox at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on March 19. A large number of fans attended the event at the venue while others chose to view it via the RCB app and website. Meanwhile, the fans got into trouble after the live streaming faced technical glitches due to “extreme demand”. Following this, the franchise started live streaming on their official YouTube channel, providing a sigh of relief for the fans.

However, on March 21, Thursday, RCB took responsibility for the technical malfunction and announced that they would refund INR 99 collected from the fans. The franchise also acknowledged the inconvenience caused and promised a “seamless” experience in the forthcoming events.

"Dear RCB fan, due to extreme demand we faced issues with live streaming for RCB Unbox event. As a result, we are refunding everyone who paid for the live streaming of the event. Your refund has been processed. It must reflect in your payment account within 7 business days. Thank you for your cooperation and we will work hard to make your next experience seamless," RCB said in a statement shared on X.
