Caribbean cricketer Shimron Hetmyer took a brilliant low catch to dismiss the well-settled Nehal Wadhera in the Match 59 between Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium, Jaipur.
The last ball of the 16th over, bowled by Akash Madhwal to the left-hander around the fuller length and outside the batter’s smashing zone. Wadhera tried to connect it and managed only just a decent contact. He sliced it over the off-side, and the West Indies cricketer stood at deep cover. He completed a brilliant low catch by making it look comfortable, which broke the 58-run stand between Wadhera and Shashank Singh.

RR skipper Samson gives up opening slot for Suryavanshi
PBKS skipper Shreyas Iyer won the toss and chose to bat first. The choice paid off very well for the visitors, who smashed 219 for the loss of six wickets in the first innings of the match. Nehal Wadhera smashed 70 runs off 37 balls and was well-supported by Shashank Singh (59 off 30). For RR, Tushar Deshpande picked two wickets in his four-over spell, being the pick of the bowlers.
PBKS are alive in the race for a playoff spot and are currently third in the IPL 2025 Points Table. The victory against the Sanju Samson-led side will book them a seat in the playoffs. RR are positioned ninth in the points table and have already been eliminated from the tournament.
