India's T20I skipper, Suryakumar Yadav has been enjoying a well-deserved break with his wife, Devisha Shetty, following India's resounding 3-0 T20I series victory over Sri Lanka.

However, his holiday is set to end soon as he prepares to join the Mumbai team for the prestigious All India Buchi Babu Invitational Tournament starting on August 15.

Yadav recently shared an Instagram story that caught the attention of his fans. "Kapdo ke liye maafi. Iss kaam ke liye to time hi time hai." He apologised for his outfit but mentioned that for this work he has all the time in the world.

The right-hand batter is gearing up for his next cricket assignment. Mumbai are placed in Group C along with Haryana, TNCA XI.

The side will take on Haryana for their first match which is scheduled to begin on August 15 in Coimbatore. This participation aligns with the BCCI's encouragement of international players to engage in domestic cricket to maintain their form.

I want to play for India in all three formats: Suryakumar Yadav

Joining Yadav in strengthening the Mumbai squad will be Shreyas Iyer, as confirmed by Mumbai Cricket Association joint secretary Deepak Patil. The tournament presents a valuable opportunity for both Suryakumar and Iyer to finetune their skills in a competitive domestic setting. Mumbai will be led by Sarfaraz Khan.

For the 33-year-old, in particular, it's a chance to continue his impressive form across formats. Despite his T20I success, he has expressed a keen interest in representing the national side in red-ball cricket.

"I want to play for India in all three formats, playing in Buchi Babu will give me good practice for the red-ball tournaments this season,” Suryakumar was quoted as saying by ESPNcricinfo.
