Despite calling time on his glittering career from the sport nine years ago on November 16, 2013, the fandom of the great Sachin Tendulkar never ceases to end. Whenever the ‘Master Blaster’ took the field with his willow in his hand for India, fans would go bananas just to see the great perform and begin chanting his name which would reverberate around the stadium.
Such was the impact of the legend and a similar incident occurred when passengers on a flight spotted the ‘little man’ and began chanting the iconic 'Sachin-Sachin' chant in unison. Elated by the heartwarming reception during the flight, Sachin shared a video on his Twitter handle to thank his fans.
Thank you to those on my flight who were chanting my name a little while ago, reminiscent of when I used to come out to bat. Unfortunately, the seatbelt sign was on so I could not stand up to greet you. So saying a big hello to all now 👋🏻👋🏻 https://t.co/ak4GYLjMi4

It is only normal for a player who has achieved so much as Sachin has during his stint with the national and domestic teams to be receiving such love even after retirement. The former Mumbai Indians batter remains the all-time highest run scorer in international cricket and holds the record separately in Tests and ODIs as well. Furthermore, he scored 51 Test centuries and 49 ODI tons, making him the only batter to do so with a record 100 centuries in total thus far.
Sachin passes the baton to son Arjun Tendulkar
Arjun Tendulkar, son of the legend Sachin, amassed a maiden Ranji Trophy century a few days ago. Coming in as a nightwatchman, the bowling all-rounder scored 120 runs off 207 balls for Goa against Rajasthan.
Adding to this, the left-arm pacer is part of Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) and is on the cusp of his maiden cap in the top-tier league.
