Team India locked horns with Bangladesh in their penultimate fixture of the Super 12 stage in the ICC T20 World Cup 2022. Sublime knocks coming from Virat Kohli and KL Rahul guided the Men in Blue to attain a more than competitive total of 184 runs in their 20 overs.
The Rohit Sharma-led side were put to bat first by the Bangla Tigers and all eyes were on KL Rahul who needed to hit the ground running and he rightfully did. Initially, the batter was unable to connect the ball owing to the extra bounce in the Adelaide Oval, however, after his first maximum, the opener found his game.

In a video shared by Star Sports in their social media handle, it can be seen that KL Rahul dispatched one off Shoriful Islam who was up against him at the other end in the second over of the contest. Shoriful bowled a length ball in the hopes that the ball would move away from the batter and end up as a dot.
However, Rahul on the striker’s end had other ideas as he brought his wrists into play and effortlessly whipped it over the square leg boundary and onto the stands. Rahul relished a fine outing as he ended up scoring 50 off just 32 balls at a strike rate of 156.25.
