In a heartwarming gesture, Nicholas Pooran met the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) supporter who was hit by one of the southpaw's sixes during his side's six-wicket victory against Gujarat Titans (GT), at the Ekana Cricket Stadium, on Saturday, April 12. The hard-hitting batter invited Nabeel to the stadium and gifted him a cap signed by him, a day ahead of LSG's ongoing encounter against Delhi Capitals.

The West Indian asked him whether he was doing all right. Nabeel wore a cheerful expression while sharing his experience. He also said that he wouldn't mind getting hit again as long as LSG win. Moreover, the Lucknow fan seemed excited to come and watch the upcoming IPL 2025 game against DC.

“I’m feeling great, Pooran sir called and invited me here. I met him and he even asked if I was fine. I’m coming for the game as well. It doesn’t matter if I get hit, but our Lucknow team should keep on winning. Our team won that day, that’s what made me happy. This is our team, the trophy is our dream,” stated Nabeel in a video shared by LSG on their official X account.

LSG look to continue momentum as IPL 2025 enters crucial phase

Ahead of the ongoing fixture against DC, LSG have won five out of eight games this season. They are coming into this match on the back of a nail-biting two-run win against Rajasthan Royals in Jaipur. Pooran made only 11 off eight in that game. Aiden Markram and Avesh Khan starred with superlative performances with bat and ball, respectively.

Pooran has been in fine form in IPL 2025. In eight innings so far, the left-handed batter has amassed 368 runs at an impressive strike rate of 205.58. He has struck a total of 61 boundaries (30 fours and 31 sixes). LSG will become the second side to reach the 12-point mark if they claim victory against DC.
