Women’s cricket is growing at a good pace. After India emerged as the runners-up in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2017, the interest in women’s cricket grew. Players started to get recognized and interviews followed to popularize these female cricketers who had done a great job for their country.

Jhulan Goswami is one of the most decorated cricketers of all time. Popularly known as the ‘Chakdaha Express’, Goswami is the leading wicket-taker in the history of Women’s ODI cricket. She has made significant contributions to Indian cricket and her services are bound to be honoured. Jhulan has played over 200 international games for India and has taken over 250 wickets.

The never give up attitude

She has already won the Arjuna Award and Padma Shri while an Indian postage stamp has also been issued in her honour. Sony Pictures India has acquired the official rights to create a biopic based on Jhulan Goswami.

Sony is all set to collaborate with Dunamis Entertainment to develop and release the film at the earliest notice. The movie will cover the entire life of Goswami right from her birth in West Bengal. Most of her achievements, like winning the ICC Women’s Player of the Year in 2007, and the M. A. Chidambaram Trophy in 2011 for Best Women Cricketer are also expected to be showcased and glorified in the upcoming movie. The struggles and hardships endured by the allrounder will also form a part of the movie.

Fans are eagerly waiting for the release of the film as they want to know all about one of the greatest cricketer of all time. The official Twitter account of movie critic and analyst Taran Adarsh announced the initiation of the project by tweeting a picture of Jhulan Goswami and captioning it with the latest news.
