Akshath Reddy is an opening batter from the state of Hyderabad. His impressive domestic record earned him a place in the 2012’s Deccan chargers side and he was named in the Sunrisers’ squad for their team’s inaugural edition.

This 30-year-old batter opened the innings along with Parthiv Patel and made a calm 30-ball 27 in the first match. He has played a total of 12 IPL matches and has 164 runs to his name.

Reddy was then dropped from the team and eventually did not participate thereafter. He is still the opening batter of the Hyderabad side in the List A matches and has over five thousand first-class runs.
