Suniel Shetty calls KL Rahul and Athiya Shetty a 'good looking couple', opens up on their relationship status

The Bollywood and cricket connection has often fascinated people. With the power couple Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli, it has further garnered the audacity of the connection. The other couple who have been rumored to be dating each other is Bollywood actress Athiya Shetty and cricketer KL Rahul.

Both Athiya and KL Rahul are currently in England and as per sources, the cricketer had informed the concerned authorities that he will be accompanied by his partner Athiya for the Test series in England. Whereas now, Athiya’s father and actor Suniel Shetty has responded to the relationship of the couple.

The duo was recently seen promoting an eyewear brand and also posted a video on their Instagram account promoting the same. Opening up on it, Suniel Shetty said that they look good together.

“As far as the ad goes… I mean it is an international brand and they chose to take the two of them as the ambassadors. I think they look brilliant together. They are a good-looking couple, na? So, it totally works from a brand perspective. And I must say, they look good together, well, in the ad (laughs!),” said Suniel to ETimes.

Athiya has been posting pictures of her from England and it is anticipated that she has joined KL Rahul there. Suniel Shetty thus informed that his daughter is in England right now but she is accompanied by her brother. Though, Suniel Shetty avoided any sort of confirmation on their relationship status, as he pointed that it is better that the two talk about it. “I think it is best you speak to them,” he said.

KL Rahul, on the other hand, is a probable option in the middle-order or the opening slot for the upcoming Test series against England after Shubman Gill’s injury. Before the series starts, the Indian team will be playing a three-day match against the County XI which will serve as a good match practice for them.
