After the two cricket World Cups, ODI and T20I, any other ICC tournament which gets the most attention is the Champions Trophy. The 8-teams competition, into its 8th edition this year, will be played between 1 to 18 June in England and Wales. India enters as the defending champs, while Australia, England and South Africa look in a commanding position to make it to the semis.

The tournament was started in 1998 when it was called the ICC Knock-out tournament. The first edition was won by South Africa under the leadership of Hansie Cronje. But ever since winning that trophy, South Africa have not been able to win a single ICC trophy, which is why AB de Villiers will be very hungry to break the drought this time around before calling time on his career.

Team India will walk into CT 2017 with a new sponsor on their jersey. Star India has been replaced by OPPO mobile manufacturing company on team India’s kits. Similar changes can be noticed in the kits of other teams too.

Here are the team wise details

Australia

Australia’s Champions Trophy uniform is the same that they wore in their home one-day international series against New Zealand and Pakistan last summer. Australia skipper Steve Smith will be hoping that the predominantly gold Asics kit can produce the same result as 2015 World Cup.

Bangladesh have two options for this tournament in the United Kingdom. Their main kit features their traditional green with red details. They can also don their clash strip at any stage but will wear a primarily red shirt with green sleeves.

England

England will wear a brand-new ODI uniform for the tournament, bringing back hues of red after several years in a blue kit. They will don a navy blue shirt fading into the red at the waist.

India have maintained most consistency when it comes to team kits and their new Champions Trophy uniform is no different. Predominantly blue, the shirt features a slightly darker shade on the sleeves. The only major change will be the name of their sponsor.

New Zealand

After years of wearing uniforms laced with blue, New Zealand are back to their traditional black and white for the Champions Trophy. It’s simple and classy!

Pakistan

They wore a dark green in the 2013 Champions Trophy uniform and lurid shade in the 2015 World Cup, but have this time around settled somewhere in the middle. The green is neither too dark nor too light.

South Africa

South Africa’s jersey remains almost the same as it was when they rose to the No.1 spot in the ICC ODI Team Rankings. They have made one key change – a motif of a Protea featuring on the front of the shirt.

Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka have unveiled two new outfits during their photo shoot. One of it is a clash outfit, probably to be worn against India, who also wear blue.
