6. Royal Challengers Bangalore – AB de Villiers

The Royal Challengers Bangalore were one of the favourites to win the IPL 2020 championship, especially after their performance in the first half of the season. Their bowling attack looked stronger than ever, while Chris Morris’ presence gave the RCB lineup some much-needed balance. However, they crashed out of the tournament after losing five matches in a row.
Despite losing their last four matches, the Bangalore-based franchise somehow made it to the Eliminator. AB de Villiers sparkled as always but he did not get enough support from the other batsmen. The likes of Virat Kohli, Devdutt Padikkal, Aaron Finch, Shivam Dube, and Josh Philippe could not perform well when it mattered the most.
AB de Villiers was the best player for the Royal Challengers this year. He helped the team win a close match against the Rajasthan Royals, and he ended the season with 454 runs in 14 innings. None of the Indian batsmen in the RCB squad had a strike rate of over 130, and there was de Villiers who aggregated 450+ runs at a strike rate of 158.74.
