Another former captain of Sri Lanka, Kumar Sangakkara has also announced his retirement from One Day cricket after the World cup. He currently has the most runs in One Day cricket, 13693 going into the World cup.
He is also 4 half centuries shy of breaking Sachin Tendulkar’s record for most 50s in ODI cricket. But more than that, he would be looking forward to win the world cup for Sri Lanka. He captained Sri Lanka in the heart breaking 2011 World Cup campaign where Sri Lanka lost to India in the finals at the Wankhede stadium.
