World cricket all through these years, with changing rules and regulations especially in the shorter formats, has come to help the batsmen more and more. But certain bowlers have worked on their abilities and skills, making sure that the batsmen, especially in the ODI form of the sport, find it difficult to score runs, despite all the rules working in their favour.

They have bowled tight lines and have maintained great lengths, bowling yorkers and such unplayable deliveries at will, keeping a lid on the scoring rate. There have been various situations where the bowlers have been the ones, winning their teams closely contested matches, by bailing them out of really tricky situations.

So, here’s a look at 5 such bowlers, who have been taking the most number of wickets per match in One Day International cricket.

He is currently ranked to be the best bowler in ODI cricket, with a rating of 722 points, closely followed by his counterpart from India, Jasprit Bumrah, who has also been making big strides in the international scene.

The team has made it to two finals in two consecutive cricket World Cups, and in those campaigns, Boult had a major role to play.
