After all the excitement in the league stages of the Under-19 tri-series finals, it’s time for the all-important final at the County Ground in Hove. Bangladesh and India will be locking horns in the crunch encounter on August 11. The Junior Tigers were absolutely mind-blowing in the first round as they finished on top of the points table with 11 points on the backs of four wins from eight matches.

Even as two of their games didn’t produce any result, only India were able to defeat them once. India, on the other hand, finished with eight points from as many games. In their last three matches, they had to strain. While Bangladesh and England defeated them in two of those encounters, the latter gave them a run for their money in Chelmsford, losing the game by a solitary wicket.

Match Details:

The 12th game of the Tri-Nation Under-19s Tournament between Bangladesh Under-19s and India Under-19s will be played at the County Ground in Hove.

The match starts at 11:00 am local time (10:00 am GMT) (3:30 pm IST).

Weather Condition/Report:

There are chances of shower during match time. The sun will be out at times, but rain is expected to halt proceedings. Quite a few games have been affected by rain in the series and it won’t be a surprise if the same happens even in the final. The temperature will be around 17 degrees Celsius. The humidity will be in the 70s.

Pitch Condition/Report:

The pitches dished out in the tournament have been sporting ones. While batters have got the runs without much fuss, the bowlers have also had their fair share of success. But Hove is yet to host a contest in the series and it’s not known how the track would behave. Keeping in mind the nature of strips earlier, a similar sort of a deck may be on the cards.

Expert Advice:

It’s a tough ask to select the captains. Even as the likes of Towhid Hridoy, Shubhang Hegde and Yashasvi Jaiswal are likely to be the first preference, someone from the bowling unit can be given the role as well, though it can be a massive gamble on decent batting wickets. Sushant Mishra and Tanzim Hasan Sakib are couple of options for the captain.

Probable Winners:

The team, batting second should win the match.
