After a rather indifferent ODI series, India will now be locking horns against Joe Root’s England in a five-match Test series, which starts on August 1 at Edgbaston in Birmingham. In a bid to get themselves prepared for the five-day fixtures, Virat Kohli and his men recently played a three-day practice match against Essex at County Ground in Chelmsford.
The team had a decent outing in the contest with both their bowlers and batsmen standing up to the task. However, concerns surrounding their top order still remains as the likes of Shikhar Dhawan and Cheteshwar Pujara weren’t quite able to hit their straps in the warm-up match. Earlier in 2014, India lost the Test series 1-3 on English soil after winning the second Test at Lord’s.
Virat and Dhawan break free
Apart from cricket, the Indian players also had their moments of entertainment during the match in Chelmsford. There was a special arrangement in place for the visiting team’s players when they walked on to the field on the final day of the match. There were drummers on both sides of the walk who greeted the players when they took the field.
The beats churned out by the drummers were related to Bhangra, a popular dance form in the northern part of India. It’s a popular dance form in the country and Delhi is one place where it mostly takes place, irrespective of the occasion. The Indian team has a couple of players in Virat Kohli and Shikhar Dhawan, who hails from the Capital of the nation.
They were never going to miss out on shaking a leg on the Punjabi tunes. While walking on to the park, both enthralled the audience by showing their dancing skills. On the other hand, the rest of the team walked off normally.

I'm sure Shikhar didn't. Two blobs before a massive test series won't make him feel good.
