India finished Day 2 of the 2nd Test at Vizag in a commanding fashion. Guided by centuries from Virat Kohli and Cheteshwar Pujara and a well constructed half century by Ravichandran Ashwin the hosts managed to score 455 in their 1st innings after beginning the day at the score of 317/4. Moeen Ali was the wrecker in the chief in the morning session bagging the wickets of Kohli, Saha and Jadeja.

The English side got off to the worst possible start losing their captain Alastair Cook in the 3rd over. Shami bowled a cracker of a delivery that jagged in sharply after pitching, rattling the top of the off stump. Not only did it hit the off stump but it was enough to break it into two. The duo of Haseeb Hameed and Joe Root looked good until an uncharacteristic lapse in concentration from the teenager saw him surrender his wicket at the score of 51 to trigger an English collapse.

Ben Duckett was left scratching his head after a peach from the No.1 Test bowler in the world Ravi Ashwin send his stumps on a cartwheel. Joe Root fell in quick succession as he went for a wild heave against Ashwin. Debutant Jayant Yadav continued his remarkable debut as he picked up his maiden Test wicket of Moeen Ali. The decision was originally given as not out but eventually turned out to be a terrific review by Kohli.

Virat Kohli and his young brigade will look to come, all guns blazing in the 3rd day morning and wrap up the England 1st innings quickly. The Twitter space was active and buzzing throughout the day’s play. Some really exciting tweets stood out and perfectly described the things which unfolded today. Have a look at today’s Twitter reactions.
