Let’s take a look at some of the highlights from the match:

1. Virat Kohli scores first hundred of the season

The star batter continued his brilliant form in the ongoing season and once again looked in fine nick at the crease. The RCB opener completed his half-century off 39 balls and got involved in a massive 125-run stand with Faf du Plessis off 84 balls. Kohli completed his hundred in the second last over of the innings off 67 balls and finished his innings on 113* (72) with the help of 12 fours and four sixes.

2. Sanju Samson plays a captain’s knock at number three

The Rajasthan Royals skipper had to walk to the crease with his team reeling at 0/1 as Yashasvi Jaiswal (0 off 2) got dismissed for a duck. However, he calmed the nerves in the dressing room with his sublime knock of 69 (42) smashing eight fours and two sixes. Samson got involved in a massive 148-run stand with Jos Buttler off just 86 balls which brought Rajasthan on the verge of a win.

The RR opener finally found his form after registering scores of 11, 11 and 13 in the first three matches of the tournament. After losing his opening partner early, Buttler held one end and brought Rajasthan into the ascendancy with a massive stand with his captain. With just one required off the last over to win, the English cricketer smacked Cameron Green over deep mid-wicket boundary and completed his hundred. He finished the innings with an unbeaten 100* off 58 balls with the help of nine fours and four sixes.
