Urvashi Rautela reportedly irked over Hardik Pandya’s ‘kill’ comment on Koffee With Karan
Karan Johar asked him who would he kill, marry and hook up with.
Hardik Pandya’s cricketing career is currently in the doldrums after he made some sexist remarks on women in the show Koffee With Karan, hosted by director, producer and screenwriter Karan Johar. The comments sparked outrage in the cricketing fraternity and even the common people lashed out at the 25-year-old all-round cricketer from Baroda for his irresponsible behaviour in the talk-show.
The Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA), headed by Vinod Rai, handed him and KL Rahul an indefinite suspension until a further enquiry. Both have been sent home midway through the tour of Australia. To add to their disappointment, Diana Edulji, a part of the CoA and former Indian women’s cricketer, hinted that the duo could miss out on playing the World Cup, starting May.
A surprised Urvashi
In the meantime, it has been learned that Bollywood actress Urvashi Rautela has been taken back by what Pandya commented about her in the show. During the episode, aired on last Sunday on television and online streaming platform Hotstar, Johar asked him who would he kill, marry and hook up with to which Pandya replied that he would kill Urvashi, hook up with Esha Gupta and marry Parineeti Chopra.
The comments haven’t gone down well with the 24-year-old actress by any stretch of the imagination as Pandya had earlier claimed to be more than just her buddy as per reports in Mid Day. She must be wondering why the Indian cricketer passed the harsh comment on her. The duo has often been spotted at different parties and events together and has grabbed quite a few eyeballs.
As far as Pandya’s suspension is concerned, the BCCI earlier sent him a show-cause notice asking him to reply within 24 hours. Now, he has been given a time of one week in order to explain why a further probe into the matter shouldn’t be done. Even as Pandya and Rahul have returned home, Shubman Gill and all-rounder Vijay Shankar have been announced as their replacements for these international tours.
