Virat Kohli takes number 3 spot in Forbes India 2017 Celebrity 100

Team India skipper Virat Kohli has been expanding his brand big time in the recent times. His achievements are on the rise and the stardom seems to be in a love affair with him. Among the many achievements and accolades he has bagged in 2017, here comes another one. Kohli features at number 3 in the Forbes India list of Celebrity 100.

The list released by Forbes India features 100 celebrities with highest earnings in the year of 2017. Needless to add, Virat Kohli is the highest rated cricketer in the list. As per the official records of Forbes India, Virat has earned INR 100.72 crore this year. Kohli has different sources of incomes. He is Grade A cricketer of the BCCI – Grade A is awarded to the top crop of players.

Also, he gets additional captaincy allowances for being the captain of the national side across the three formats of the game. In addition to this, he is the highest paid cricketer in the cash rich Indian Premier League (IPL). Moreover, he has close to 20 brands to his name for his endorsements. Earlier this year, he had struck a mega deal with Puma.

Virat Kohli is next to the two popular Khans of the Bollywood in the list. Salman Khan takes the top spot with gross earnings of INR 232.83 crore. He is followed by Shah Rukh Khan, who has earned INR 170.5 crore this year. Kohli was recently named as the most valued celebrity in another list.

Other cricketers in Top 10

The only other cricketers in the top 10 of this list 100 are Sachin Tendulkar and MS Dhoni. Sachin Tendulkar is ranked number 5 in the list with earnings close to INR 82.5 crore. Meanwhile, MS Dhoni is placed at number 8 with INR 63.77 crore to his name in the year 2017. Interestingly, Virat is the youngest among the top 10 in this list. In fact, he is the only one below 30 years of age.
