Virender Sehwag comes up with a tweet after Indian team got another 'Rahul' at No. 3

Afghanistan created history after they took the field on the first day of their debut Test against the mighty Indian team. The hosts are playing the historic Test in the absence of Virat Kohli. The dependable batsman, Ajinkya Rahane took the leadership role and expected to make it count. Coming into the game, India won the toss and elected to bat first. Murali Vijay and Shikhar Dhawan opened the innings for hosts and the latter freely scored runs all over the field. He went onto bring his half-century in 47 balls. However, Vijay opted to score on a slow rate.

Shikhar Dhawan continued his aggression with the willow and went on to score century in just 87 balls. The visitors main weapon Rashid Khan was expected to pick crucial wickets but he had a very rare off day and the Afghanistan team was flattered with the ball at Lunch with India posting 157/0 in 26 overs.

After the lunch session, Dhawan tried to score runs at a good pace but got out giving a catch to the first slip at his score of 107. Ahmadzai was the pacer, who took Shikhar Dhawan’s wicket where the batsman tried offering the shot to an off-side ball. In came KL Rahul at No. 3.

Sehwag delighted to see KL Rahul at No. 3

KL Rahul’s arrival at No. 3 slot was a massive surprise for many of the Indian fans as the usual filler of that spot was Cheteshwar Pujara. This is KL Rahul’s comeback game and he used his opportunity to the fullest and scored a valuable 64-ball 54-run knock before getting out to Ahmadzai’s peach. Meanwhile, Vijay also lost his wicket after scoring a brilliant century.
