Watch: Kusal Perera snaps back at Kohli after he gave him a send-off: The 3^rd Test match between Sri Lanka and India was bound to be a thriller with both the teams coming into the Test tied at 1-1 and eventually it turned out to be a mouth-watering clash between the Asian counterparts. India won the series by 2-1 and tasted glory on the Lankan soil after 22 years. With both the teams undergoing transition and younger crop of player coming in, tempers were expected to intrude. And that was the case in the 3rd Test match as well.

The influence of the Indian captain Virat Kohli who has been emphasizing on the so-called “aggressive brand of cricket” seems to be rubbing on the Indian boys as well who were fired up and were ready to indulge in the war of words to gain an upper hand in the Test by putting off the opponent. And in a very unlike Indian way, the players were seen giving send-off’s to the Lankan players many a times.

Ishant Sharma banging his head after getting out Dinesh Chandimal was one off-instance. But another such incident was when the Indian team got a crucial breakthrough in the Test when Kusal Perera got out to Ravichandran Ashwin reverse-sweeping the ball.

The Indian’s knew that they were just moments away from winning the match and Virat Kohli was all fired up and was seen giving send-off to the Lankan southpaw by uttering some words which irritated Perera and he walked towards the Indian skipper for a verbal duel but Ashwin interfered in between and with physical as well verbal gestures advised him to walk away to the dressing room.
