Watch: MS Dhoni comes out to help a struggling Faf du Plessis: In the searing heat of Mumbai the South Africans pilled on a huge total against the listless Indian bowlers. Opener Quinton de Kock lit the stage up with a hundred (109). Even after he got out there was no respite for the Indian bowlers as Faf du Plessis carried on the momentum and scored a brilliant hundred in extremely challenging conditions.

The Mumbai heat was taking a toll on him, due to dehydration and exhaustion he pulled his hamstring. Having got treatment from the South Africa’s team physio, the classy right-hander decided to continue batting. Having decided to hit-out or get-out he went hammer and tongs against all Indian bowlers. Short balls were dispatched over square leg boundary, low full tosses over covers and the fuller ones over long on.

One such ball was hammered by du Plessis down the ground only to find himself lying on the ground after hitting it! MS Dhoni, seeing his CSK teammate cramp up, was quick to offer him a helping hand. Faf fell down rather dramatically and was in agonizing pain. MSD helped Faf stretch his legs and ankle much to the relief of the South African till the physio arrived.
