Photos of Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma’s daughter Vamika have gone viral after her face was revealed by broadcasters during the third ODI between India and South Africa. Time and again, the power couple has urged media and fans to not click or circulate pictures of their daughter. However, the live telecast of the Sunday (January 23) match showed Anushka cheering for his husband from the stands while holding Vamika in her arms.

As the broadcaster panned the camera on the duo, clips and pictures of Kohli’s daughter broke the internet. Anushka is also aware of the same as she took to her Instagram story and spoke about the incident. The Bollywood actress revealed that she was caught off guard and maintained her previous request of not circulating Vamika’s pictures.

We would really appreciate if Vamika’s images are not clicked: Anushka Sharma

“Hey guys! We realise that our daughters images were captured at the stadium yesterday and widely shared thereafter. We want to inform everyone that we were caught off guard and didn’t know that the camera was on us. Our stance and request on the matter stays the same. We would really appreciate if Vamika’s images are not clicked/ published for reasons we have explained earlier. Thank you!” Anushka wrote on Instagram.

Meanwhile, it must be noted that the couple had earlier issued a statement, requesting privacy for their first child. “We seek privacy for our child and would like to do our best to give her a chance to live her life freely away from media and social media. As she is older, we cannot restrict her movement and hence your support is needed so kindly practice (refrain) in the matter,” read the statement.

Meanwhile, Virat Kohli enjoyed an impressive outing with the bat in the game as he scored a brilliant half-century. He also brought out a special celebration for his daughter Vamika after getting to the landmark. The 33-year-old eventually ended up scoring 65 off 84 deliveries before falling prey to left-arm spinner Keshav Maharaj. Besides him, Shikhar Dhawan and Deepak Chahar also scored half-centuries. Their efforts, however, went in vain as South Africa won by four runs, clinching the series 3-0.
