The swashbuckling all-rounder from Roorkee had a tremendous start to his International career when he got off the mark with a huge six of the bowling of Adil Rashid in his debut test against England. His overseas record in Test matches is really praising worthy with a couple of hundreds in Australia and England

He has shown glimpses of what he can do with the bat in the shorter format of the game. His ability to use the long handle and hit sixes can be quite useful for the team. The left hander can even be used as a floater in the team. But as of now, a little chink in his armour is his wicket-keeping skills which he needs to work upon.

Perhaps, that could be the reason why Dinesh Karthik was pipped over him for the second wicket keeper’s role. Rishabh is definitely the man for the future and with age on his side, we may see him breaking many records in the future.
