India continued its unbeaten record in World Cup and World T20s against Pakistan as they defeated them comfortably at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata. This was also India’s first win in Limited overs Cricket at this venue vs Pakistan. India elected to field first in an 18-overs game as the rain delayed the start of the game by scheduled time.

With some help from the pitch, Indian spinners restricted Pakistan to 118/5 in 20 overs. India lost 3 early wickets yet again but a 61-run stand between Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh rescued India. Yuvraj got out but Kohli kept his great record in chases going well. Along with MS Dhoni, Kohli sealed the game for India as the hosts registered their 1st win in this WT20 by 6 wickets with 13 balls to spare.
