Rashid Khan, the Afghanistan leg-spinner, recently featured in on Instagram live with CricTracker and answered a number of questions. Amidst the chat, Jofra Archer, the England fast bowler, decided to troll him severely. The Barbados-born speedster asked Rashid to go and have a hair-cut.
In the lockdown period, getting a haircut has been a major issue for a number of people around the world. In the video, Rashid was seen, having longer hair than usual and it didn’t evade Archer’s eyes by any means. The Brits bowler is an active participant on the social media platforms.
And he didn’t miss out on this chance as well. Both Archer and Rashid plays in the Indian Premier League (IPL), representing the Rajasthan Royals (RR) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) respectively.

During the chat, Rashid also said that MS Dhoni, Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli are his favourite Indian batsmen. The Young Turk also picked Anil Kumble, Bhuvneshwar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah as his favourite Indian bowlers. In fact, Rashid and Bhuvneshwar plays for the SRH in the IPL itself. Both Rashid and Archer have been fulcrums of their teams.
They have become indispensable and are always one of the four foreign players to feature in an IPL eleven. Rashid was one of the two Afghan cricketers, along with Mohammad Nabi, to be picked in an IPL auction back in 2017. From there on, he has weaved magic. Archer, on the other hand, has ruffled a few feathers after making his IPL debut in the 2018 edition.
Virat and Raina getting haircuts
Apart from Rashid Khan, Virat Kohli, the Indian skipper, and Suresh Raina also came into the limelight. A few days ago, the 31-year-old Virat uploaded a video where he was seen, getting his hair cut from his wife Anushka Sharma. The clip then went viral across the various social media platforms.
Thereafter, Suresh Raina, the discarded Indian batsman, shared a picture of his trimmed hair on Twitter. The left-hander, who last played in the 2019 IPL, thanked wife Priyanka for helping her to get a haircut. “I could not wait any longer thanks for helping me @_PriyankaCRaina #haircut #doityourself.”
