Indian cricketer Mandeep Singh is all set to tie the knot later this month. This seems to be a wedding month for the Indian cricketers. The Indian players are stepping down from the isle of bachelorhood and starting their new innings in life. Earlier this month, it was Yuvraj Singh who got hitched to Bollywood actress Hazel Keech. A week later, Delhi pacer Ishant Sharma married his long time girlfriend and team India basketball player Pratima Singh.

Now, Mandeep Singh is ready to ring the wedding bells in the last week of December to conclude the grand wedding season. Mandeep will tie the wedding knot with his girlfriend Jagdeep Jaswal on 25th December. The wedding is planned to take place at a Gurudwara in Mandeep’s hometown Phagwara, Jalandhar in Punjab.

There will be a ceremonial function after the wedding at a resort located on the Jalandhar-Phagwara road. Mandeep Singh met his soul mate on a social networking site back in the year 2013. They both started to know each other a great deal and soon developed a very strong bond. They soon met for the very first time in Amritsar in the same year.

Jagdeep Jaswal is a resident of Newcastle in England. She is a makeup artist by profession. Interestingly, wives of Yuvraj Singh and Harbhajan Singh are also residents of England. Talking about this coincidence, Mandeep quoted, “It’s a coincidence. Bhajji paaji was, in fact, joking about it.”

He also said that he has invited his teammates from Royal Challengers Bangalore. He has sent the invitations to AB de Villiers, Virat Kohli and Chris Gayle. However, both Gayle and AB might miss out on the wedding due to their cricket and personal commitments.

“I have invited my Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) teammates, including AB de Villiers, Virat Kohli as well as Chris Gayle for the wedding. AB and Gayle might not be able to come due to their cricketing engagements,” said the Indian batsman. “It would have been great having them and seeing them do bhangra,” he added further.

The 24-year old batsman is a promising star in the domestic cricket. He had recently made his T20I debut against Zimbabwe earlier this year. He was also a part of the ODI team that beat New Zealand 3-2 recently. He, however, failed to get a game. Mandeep Singh believes his wife will bring the lady luck to his side. “Now that Jagdeep will be with me forever, I’m surely going to make my ODI debut soon,” he conceded.
