Are Yuvraj Singh and Hazel Keech expecting their first baby?

India’s ODI superstar Yuvraj Singh recently played in his 300th ODI. Indifferent form coupled with fitness issues later forced the southpaw to be left out of the squad that traveled to Sri Lanka. The selectors ignored him again for the first three ODIs against the visiting Australian team.

Spotlight refuses to stay away from him

At the age of 35, it looks unlikely that he will make a comeback in the blue jersey again. One paparazzo recently put him under the spotlight when he spotted Yuvraj with his wife Hazel Keech at the Mumbai airport and posted the picture on social media by captioning it as: “Pregnant Hazel Keech snapped.” Since then, this has been the news of the town.

The couple got married in November last year in a grand ceremony. Yuvraj’s mother, Shabnam cleared the air by saying that Hazel isn’t expecting a baby yet and people must stop spreading rumors. “Oh God, no, please! Abhi nahi (not now)!” said Shabnam in an exclusive chat with Hindustan Times.

“Hazel is not pregnant. It’s wrong for somebody to quote like this… Abhi toh sirf dus maheene huye hain shaadi ko (It has just been 10 months since their marriage). It’s funny how people want to get on to super express mode. Let them enjoy their married life. Bachche toh saari umar paalne hain. I don’t understand why everyone is in so much of a hurry,” she said.

Shabnam hurt as Yuvraj’s privacy compromised

Shabnam was hurt because people have been intruding the couple’s life ever since their marriage. In April, the topic was touched again when Hazel’s answer to a pregnancy question at an entertainment panel was blown out of proposition.

“Obviously, it’s a very hurtful to read such things written about you… It will be a very happy moment for us when it does happen, but spreading rumours like these and making news out of someone’s personal life, that’s not fair.”

At the moment, Yuvraj’s primary objective is to find a way back in the Indian set-up. He has expressed his desire to take part in the 2019 World Cup and is working on his fitness, which has gone against his selection recently. In a career spanning over 17 years, Yuvraj has made 8701 runs at 36.55 from 304 ODIs. In January this year, the 35-year old made a memorable comeback after spending more than 3 years out of the ODI team when he hit a career-best 150.
