The star South African cricketer AB de Villiers celebrated his 34th birthday on February 17 ahead of the three-match T20I series against India. The wishes poured in from all the corners of the cricketing fraternity for the most loved cricketer of the world. However, the Indian discard Yuvraj Singh was late in wishing him but had a wonderful message for his former teammate at Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
The left-hander has been out of the national side since June last year and is striving hard to make a comeback. His fitness coupled with his bad form has been the reason for his axing from the team. Also with the introduction of yo-yo test, the cricketers have to be extremely fit nowadays to make it to the Indian team. Yuvi also struggled in the domestic cricket this season but hasn’t given up on the hopes of his return. He is targeting the upcoming World Cup in England in next year to make a comeback and it remains to be seen if he is given an opportunity.
Yuvi’s belated birthday wish
Yuvraj Singh must have been busy during the birthday of AB de Villiers but soon wished him by taking to Twitter on Monday. The belated wish had some special words for the birthday boy as Yuvi also termed him as the legend. “Many happy returns of the day to Mr 360 ! An absolute legend of a player and one of the best and most humble human beings I’ve ever come across @ABdeVilliers17 you beauty,” his message read. It would be interesting to see if Mr 360 replies to Yuvraj’s wonderful message.

The injury concerns continue for De Villiers as he hurt his left knee during the last ODI against India and has been ruled out of the series eventually. He also missed the first three matches of the six-match series after the competitive Test series due to a finger injury. He is expected to get fit for the upcoming four-match Test rubber against Australia at home which is all set to commence on March 1.
