Rashid Khan has become a sensation in world cricket in the last couple of years. He has been dominating the bowling charts of T20 leagues around the globe. His dexterity of picking wickets makes him the number one T20I bowler. Rashid has a faster swing of the arm compared to other leg-spinners which make it tougher to pick his variations. He has perplexed batters around the world with his quicker googlies and deceptive leg-breaks.

He was the second highest wicket-taker in IPL 2018 and topped the wicket columns in Big Bash League last year. An economy of a little over six in 150 T20s advocates for the fact that the batsmen still find it difficult to take the attack to him. Much like Narine, captains have been entrusting Rashid to do the job in the death.

1. Jasprit Bumrah

“Boom Boom Bumrah” is the chant normally heard at the Wankhede, and recently at the MCG as well. Not many cricketers have achieved success in international cricket as rapidly as Jasprit Bumrah. Without an iota of doubt, Bumrah is the best death bowler in the country. His death bowling astuteness and shrewdness combined with a slinging action make life difficult for the batsmen. He has an unbelievable knack of bowling pinpoint yorkers at will.

An economy of 7.17 in over 130 T20s is commendable for any fast bowler. Bowling his first super over at the age of 23 against Aaron Finch and Brendon McCullum of Gujarat Lions, Bumrah flummoxed both the batsman with his yorkers.

A slow dipping yorker, a sharp in nipper, a pacy toe crushing stock delivery and a recently developed skiddy bouncer; he has a mixed bag. The spearhead of Indian bowling is a go-to bowler for any captain in any situation. Bumrah will be first in the pecking order to bowl a super over always.
