Piyush Chawla is one of the veterans of the Indian Premier League. The leg-spinner who has featured in every season of the IPL since its inception. He had spent six seasons with KKR before they released him. Chawla was bought by Chennai Super Kings for INR 6.75 crores in the IPL 2020 auction. At the time, the move by CSK seemed very surprising. But the franchise has always given value to the experience. 
The leg-spinner didn’t have a great season with the ball. He played seven matches and took only six scalps with an economy of 9. CSK released him ahead of the 2021 IPL auction. However, we feel there are chances that they can actually buy him again. If that happens, CSK will have a leg-spinner as an option in the squad. There is Imran Tahir, but he is an overseas player.
