The Australian all-rounder Glenn Maxwell has been quite lucky as far as his presence in the IPL is concerned. The hard-hitting batsman has always been one of the most talked-about players during a season. But, he has failed to deliver the goods as a player and hasn’t had a great season with the bat except for the one time in the 2014 IPL.

But, Maxwell has always been one of the top picks in the auction. His record in T20Is and Big Bash League is not easy to ignore. He played for Kings XI Punjab between 2014 and 2017. In 2018, he was bought by Delhi Capitals for a huge sum of money, but he failed to deliver. He skipped the 2019 season but 2020 turned out to be a much worse season.

He was picked up by his former franchise Kings XI Punjab once again for 10.75 crore INR. Interestingly, the other team who kept betting on Maxwell was the Capitals. In the 2020 season, he scored 108 runs from 13 matches. However, he regained his batting form as soon as he was back in an Australian jersey. There is no doubt that Maxwell will be in high demand this season as well and Kings XI Punjab might just have a plan to buy him back at a cheaper price.
