The South African cricketer became the talk of the town after smashing the fastest Twenty 20 international hundred against New Zealand in 2012.  It was just his second international appearance and he hit 117 in 45 balls with 13 sixes. But that was all! Levi, who was deemed to be the next big thing in the shortest format was just a ‘one-ton wonder’ of cricket.  The bowlers discovered his weakness post that innings and Richard Levi could never flourish after that.

He was predominantly a leg-side batsman and couldn’t play spin bowling effectively. He played total 13 matches to produce only 236 runs with that massive ton in one single match. In those few matches, he couldn’t rectify himself and kept on scoring on the on- side which ultimately ended his career as an international South African player.
