Hat-trick hero in IPL 2019, Sam Curran, made quite a few headlines even before his name came up in the auction. When his name came up, the Delhi Capitals (DC), Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) along with the Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) bid aggressively for him. In the end, it was the north-most franchise in India which managed to buy him at INR 7.2 crores.

For someone who hasn’t played a lot in India, Sam Curran has done a decent job. He picked up 10 wickets and scored some valuable runs for his side at a good strike rate. However, he hardly reached the expectations given his huge paycheque.

He is still young and is surely improving with every game that he plays. The Kings XI Punjab would want to continue having him in their squad. But definitely, they would be fancying a lower price for the England all-rounder in the December auction.
