Afghanistan established itself as a dark horse during the 2016 T20 World Cup. They had upcoming players in their squad and were able to put pressure on the big team as well. But, one man stood up for the team consistently throughout the tournament.

Mohammad Nabi, the senior Afghan player picked 12 wickets in the tournament. He used to bowl tight lines and according to the field to ensure that the batsman did get away quickly.
