Aakash Chopra, even during the pandemic, has been coming up with some analytical stuff on his social media channels and has kept the cricket fans busy. In his latest video, the former India cricketer has picked 10 youngsters from all over the world who according to him will be the ones to watch out for in the future.

To start with, he has gone with three Indian players who are brimming with talent and are almost certain to take the team forward in the years to come. Chopra feels Prithvi Shaw, Shubman Gill and Yashasvi Jaiswal are the three young lads who will be the exciting players to watch in the coming days and years. Rather Shaw and Gill have already played for India while Jaiswal starred in the U19 World Cup last year.

Going ahead, Aakash Chopra picked three players from Pakistan and not surprisingly, two of them were bowlers. He reckons that the likes of Shaheen Afridi and Naseem Shah will make Pakistan’s bowling proud during their careers. Speaking about Shaheen, he said that the left-arm pacer can use his height to his advantage and trouble the batsmen.

“The left-arm pacer is really fast. He made his debut in the Asia Cup and he keeps on growing in leaps and bounds. He has a great height and can bowl the bowl full while swinging it. His speed is great and someone who can bowl full is bound to pick up wickets. The way his career graph is progressing, it looks like the future is his. We will probably be hearing this name even more as we go along,” Aakash Chopra said.

Aakash Chopra lauds Haider Ali too

The 42-year-old picked Haider Ali as the next batsman after Babar Azam to shine. He cited the latter’s strong showing in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and Quaid-e-Azam trophy and expressed confidence in him. “Haider Ali is another player from Pakistan. He is a batsman of pedigree. He has already done well if you look at his trajectory. He made runs in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy which is their domestic tournament.

“He is getting a lot of praise from all quarters. He is being compared to Babar Azam, even being called the next Babar Azam. We don’t know if he can become the next Babar Azam but if he becomes Haider Ali first it would be more than good enough,” Aakash Chopra added.

The other youngsters to make it to his list were Josh Phillipe, Tom Banton, Noor Ahmed and Gerald Coetzee who all have been doing well at the domestic level.

Here’s the list of players:

Shubman Gill (India), Shaheen Afridi (Pakistan), Tom Banton (England), Noor Ahmed (Afghanistan), Josh Philippe (Australia), Yashasvi Jaiswal (India), Gerald Coetzee (South Africa), Naseem Shah (Pakistan), Prithvi Shaw (India), Haider Ali (Pakistan)
