Cricketers have become more active on the social media platform these days in the wake of the Coronavirus outbreak. They can’t do much as the cricketing activities come to a standstill. However, they have got enough time to interact with the fans. And, former cricketer turned commentator Aakash Chopra has come up with his all-time India-Pakistan combined Test XI for his fans in his own show Aakashvani.

He is one of the most proactive personalities on social media who analyses the game and is loved by the fans as well. He holds a massive fan following across the globe. And his analysis of the game is quite helpful for ardent cricket followers, who eat, drink and dream cricket.

Aakash Chopra picks MS Dhoni but not as captain

Aakash Chopra picked little Master, Sunil Gavaskar and hard-hitting batsman, Virender Sehwag for the opening slots followed by Sachin Tendulkar and Rahul Dravid in the middle-order. Interestingly, he slotted in Inzamam-ul-Haq and Javed Miandad to bat five and six. However, they might have played very rarely on those positions in their cricketing career.

Meanwhile, the 42-year-old accepted the fact that the aforementioned Pakistan cricketers are out of place. But, they can’t be ignored while picking Indo-Pak side. In wicketkeeping section, he picked MS Dhoni as his preferred player, who can bat brilliantly. Also, he is quick behind the wickets in comparison to anyone else.

Kapil Dev and Imran Khan are the two all-rounders in Aakash Chopra’s team. As per him, the duo is very much capable to score with the bat and their bowling heroics are known to everyone. With two spots left in the team, he left Waqar Younis out and drafted Anil Kumble, the spinning legend and Wasim Akram, who is known as the ‘Sultan of Swing’ in the final XI.

Surprisingly, Aakash Chopra gave the charge of his Indo-Pak Test XI to Imran Khan despite having the likes of Kapil Dev and MS Dhoni in his team.
