The number of biopics in Bollywood is on the rise. With 3 biopics lined up for release in the next 6 months, the cricket fans are sure to get a healthy dosage of cricket on the silver screen. Another documentary on cricket – ‘Death of a gentleman’ has made a lot of news in the past couple of weeks.
Now the Mumbai-based comedy group All India Bakchod (AIB) has claimed that another biopic is going to hit the theaters soon, this time on the Indian cricket legend Rahul Dravid. AIB recently posted the poster of the proposed movie on their official Twitter handle. They posted the movie poster with the caption, “Dravid: The Movie! A Billion Bricks. New video coming soon!”.

The poster of the movie has a very interesting catch phrase too, “The untold story of the unsung hero in the unwatched movie”. The poster is undoubtedly a spoof on the number of biopics that are lining up for release this summer and is also emphasizing on the fact on how The Wall of Indian cricket, Rahul Dravid, has waited all his career to get the limelight. Dravid has always been known to play in the shadows of Sachin Tendulkar. In fact, even Sachin had once called Dravid ‘the unsung hero of Indian team’.
He has been a stalwart of the game and has inspired an entire generation of cricketers not just in India but across the globe. He was recently involved as the head coach of the Indian U19 team that made it to the finals of the ICC U19 World Cup. Currently, he is associated with the Delhi Daredevils in the IPL as their mentor.
What did Yuvraj say about the idea of his biopic? – I would love to tell my story through a film: Yuvraj Singh
