In his prime, he shouldered the responsibilities of India&#8217;s middle-order in limited-overs cricket. And it is because of his dexterity to play spin-bowling.

His multi-dimensional skill set also helped him become an integral part of the country&#8217;s T20 side for a decade. Raina gathered over 1600 runs in his 78 outings. As it happens, he is also the first Indian batsman to crack a century in the shortest format of the game. So, it can be said that he has been a prominent figure of India&#8217;s T20 history.

It is no different when it comes to the IPL storyline. The southpaw has been one of the most consistent batsmen the tournament has ever seen. In 12 years, there have been 9 instances when Raina has scored more than 400 runs in a single season. Besides, he is also the first batsman to breach the 5000 mark in IPL.

Do you remember the Indian cricketer who made his debut in the 2007 T20 World Cup final? You guessed it right, it is Yusuf Pathan who I am talking about. A batsman who is known for chewing gums while batting, Yusuf always played the game with a sense of swagger. For him, it was my way or the highway.

That&#8217;s the reason why he was more suited for the shortest format of the game. As it turned out, he became one of the finest T20 exponents to emerge from the country. He has amassed close to 5000 runs and has also picked 99 wickets with his part-time off-spin bowling. As expected, Pathan&#8217;s biggest T20 moments have come in the IPL.

In the initial years, his range hitting was one of the highlights of the league. Especially, his 35 ball century against Mumbai Indians is a special one as he struck that while batting at No.5, a rare feat in T20s. In the latter years also, his finishing skills terrified the opposition. In all, he has garnered more than 3200 runs at a strike rate of 143.

The thing about Yusuf is he can quickly shift the momentum of a game with his aggressive hitting. When he gets on a roll, the bowling attacks are at his mercy. The Caribbean all-rounder has also lit up the IPL with his power-hitting. There have been times when he has become a nightmare for the opposition. There is a saying that sometimes the game can be unfair. It doesn&#8217;t reward a player for all his hard work. And it is exactly what has happened to the Indian cricketer, Amit Mishra. The leg-spinner who once was touted as the successor of <a href="https://www.crictracker.com/anil-kumble-is-one-of-the-greatest-spinners-in-the-world-ravi-bishnoi-eager-to-learn-new-things-at-kings-xi-punjab/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"><strong>Anil Kumble</strong></a> never reached the desired heights. A short run-up, an awkward bowling action, and an unusual release, it is what Jasprit Bumrah is. At 26, now he is the leader of India&#8217;s pace attack. Bumrah&#8217;s career started as a T20 specialist. His yorkers and slower balls quickly took the center stage. Then fast forward to 2020 he is the leading wicket-taker for India in T20Is. He has bagged 63 wickets in 50 matches. His economy rate of 6.66 is also the best amongst the Indian bowlers.

The pacer will always be indebted to IPL as he is a gem unearthed by this league. Since his debut, Bumrah has been churning out some impressive numbers. He has picked up 82 wickets in 77 games at an economy rate of 7.55. He has also been part of 3 IPL winning campaigns.

From his track record, it is evident that Jasprit is a quick learner. He reads the game situations very well. He can outfox some of the best in the business with his pace and variations. Bumrah might be young and may achieve more in his IPL career, but he is already a game-changer of the highest order.

There is a belief that a fast-bowler should be mean and aggressive to be successful, but a look at Bhuvneshwar Kumar will surely change the notion. The Meerut pacer is one of the most gentle characters of this game. He does all the talking with the ball in his hand, and it has been quite fruitful for the Blue team.

From the last couple of years, he has been at the center of some of India&#8217;s memorable series wins. Mainly in T20Is, where he has become the vital cog of the bowling department. Till now he has taken 41 wickets at a rate of 7.04. He also holds the record of taking most wickets by an Indian bowler in a T20I bilateral series.

Kumar has done equally well in the IPL. He has picked up 133 wickets in 117 games. Currently, he is the sixth leading wicket-taker in the league. He has also held the Purple Cap for two consecutive seasons, the only Indian player to achieve the feat.
