The Australia and England teams have fought for their pride, the Ashes trophy for the last 135 years while the game regularly underwent multiple transformations. England’s huge total of 903/7 in 1938 is one of the two 900+ totals in Test history. The next highest score in Ashes is 729/6 by Australia in 1930. Among the lowest totals, Australia occupy the first three spots and their 65/10 during the 2015 series is the only entry since 1950 in the top 20 lowest totals in Ashes.

Sir Donald Bradman holds all batting records in the Ashes rivalry as his tally of 5028 runs, 19 centuries, 31 fifty-plus scores and an average of 89.79 are the highest by any player. Shane Warne tops the bowling charts with 195 wickets, with his first Ashes wicket being that of Mike Gatting, with the ‘Ball of the century‘.
